Introducing Auto-Extract: Let Klotion Fill Properties for You

January 15, 20264 min read

We are excited to announce Auto-Extract, our newest feature that automatically fills in your Notion database properties when you clip a web page.

How It Works

When you open the Klotion popup on any web page, Auto-Extract scans the page for structured data. It looks at Open Graph tags, Schema.org markup, and uses intelligent content analysis to identify key metadata.

What Gets Extracted

  • Title — the page or article title
  • Author — the content creator
  • Published Date — when the content was originally published
  • Description — a summary of the content
  • Featured Image — the main visual from the page
  • Tags — relevant keywords and categories
  • Enabling Auto-Extract

  • Open any form in the Klotion settings
  • Toggle the Auto-Extract switch to On
  • Map the extracted fields to your database properties
  • Save your settings
  • The next time you clip a page, you will see properties pre-filled automatically. You can always edit them before saving.

    Smart Matching

Auto-Extract gets smarter over time. It learns which properties you typically fill in for different types of content and suggests appropriate values based on patterns it detects.

    Availability

Auto-Extract is available on all plans. Free users get basic extraction (title, URL, description), while Pro users get the full suite including author, date, images, and smart tag suggestions.
